All of our degree programs are designed for students pursuing a healthcare education in a Christ-centered environment. Additionally, all general education and prerequisite courses are offered on the Springfield campus. The University offers a science incentive program to pre-nursing students. Students who take the prerequisite science coursework through SBU can earn up to $500 per semester of ASN tuition credit, for up to four semesters. Academic Programs Nursing degree programs The nursing school at SBU-Springfield provides a robust selection of programs for those seeking an accredited degree in nursing. Whether you already have a bachelor's degree in nursing and are seeking a master's degree or are an LPN looking to become a registered nurse, we have a program for you! LPN-RN Bridge Program Associate of Science in Nursing Bachelor of Science in Nursing Master of Science in Nursing Health Science Degree Programs For students seeking a degree in health science, we offer multiple options. SBU-Springfield offers health science degree programs at both the associate's and bachelor's levels. Associate of Science in Health Sciences Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences Radiography Degree Program If you are looking to become skilled in the administration of x-rays, CT scans and MRIs, our radiography associate's degree program is for you. Once you complete this degree program, you will be fully equipped to become a certified Radiologic Technologist. Estimated Cost Sheet: Nursing, Health Sciences, General Education Estimated Cost Sheet: Radiography Estimated Cost Sheet: Master of Science in Nursing Financial assistance through scholarships, federal and state grant programs, student loans and other aid programs is available to students of the Mercy College of Nursing and Health Sciences of SBU. Availability of funding is dependent on your financial need, status and commitment to future employment. To qualify for maximum assistance, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at https://fafsa.ed.gov . Once you are admitted to SBU, you will receive an SBU email address and access to the MySBU Admitted Student Portal. You need to check your SBU email address often for important information, especially related to the online process for approving and finalizing your financial aid award. Submit your FAFSA SCIENCE INCENTIVE Pre-nursing and radiography students taking required pre-requisite science courses at Southwest Baptist University are eligible to receive the science incentive award. ASN Students To qualify, you must meet the following requirements: Meet SBU admissions requirements and be enrolled at SBU Complete the following pre-requisite science sciences with a 3.0 science cumulative GPA BIO 2204 Anatomy & Physiology I BIO 3304 Anatomy & Physiology II BIO 2213 Microbiology CHE 1104 General Chemistry or CHE 1004 Chemistry for Allied Health Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 Repeated ASN courses do not apply Qualifying pre-nursing students will receive $500 per semester for a maximum total of $2,000 per student. ASR students To qualify, you must meet the following requirements: Meet SBU admissions requirements and be enrolled at SBU Complete the following pre-requisite science sciences with a 3.0 science cumulative GPA BIO 2204 Anatomy & Physiology I BIO 3304 Anatomy & Physiology II CHE 1104 General Chemistry or CHE 1004 Chemistry for Allied Health Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 Repeated ASR courses do not apply Qualifying radiography students will receive $375 per semester for a maximum total of $1,500 per student. Scholarships Nursing Scholarships Scholarships are available for students enrolled in pre-nursing, A.S.N. or B.S.N. programs.
